Recently, we heard that the world famous augmented game app, Pokemon Go, was not going to be released for the Apple Watch. But right now, it has been confirmed that the popular game is not canceled and will be coming for the Apple Watch. However, Pokemon Go fans will need to wait for some time.

The main idea of having Pokemon Go on the Apple Watch was to let users feel a sort of ease by not having to take their iPhones all the time. While the Pokemon Go Plus Bluetooth accessory does exactly the same thing, what differs is that it doesn't count the distance you have walked along with the calories burned. Aside from that, having a watch that does almost everything (phone-related activities) for you by not having to take your phone out at all times is something that everyone should have in the present generation.

Niantic said that they got to see a bit of the wearable in action playing Pokemon Go a few months ago even though the app was not finished yet and it worked remarkably well. A Niantic representative told Recode that Pokemon Go is still being developed and has not been canceled, adding that they will have more news in the near future. Niantic said it can't wait to see how many more enjoyable features the final build of Pokemon Go will have on the Apple Watch.

Niantic's goal to link Pokemon Go to Apple Watch is to easily display information such as how far the player will need to hatch an egg and how much more XP one should reach to step up to the next level. While the Apple Watch will also show nearby Pokemon, you can't catch them directly from the watch so you will need to use your iPhone to capture it. Aside from easy accessibility of the game, Apple Watch's other features include collecting items from Pokestops and seeing your earned medals, Game Spot reported.
