Many fans have been clamoring for Wolverine to appear in "Deadpool 2," but with Hugh Jackman hanging to play the part of the X-Men in the movie "Logan," the chances of it happening is pretty low. But there is a way for Jackman to have a cameo in the movie, as himself.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter for their movie "Life," "Deadpool 2" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick liked the suggestion of having Jackman cameo as himself in the upcoming movie. They said it is something that they haven't actually thought about.

Reese said that the reporter's suggestion is not a bad idea and Deadpool already lives in a world where Jackman exists so it's a possibility. He also said it would actually be a funny sequence.

Jackman didn't actually appear in the first movie, but his face did make a cameo. In "Deadpool," Reynolds stapled a cutout picture of the People's Sexiest Man Alive cover in his forehead to hide his tumor-covered face.

The clamor for Jackman's Wolverine to make an appearance has been happening since Reynolds returned as Wade Wilson. The two characters last appeared on the big screen in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

But Jackman had already said that "Logan" will be the last movie that he will play the iconic X-Men hero. Cooper Hood of Screen Rant reported that Jackman's firm stance on moving on from the X-Men universe has crushed all hopes of Wolverine appearing in "Deadpool 2."

But this suggestion by the THR reporter has opened the possibility for Jackman to appear in the movie without reviving his Wolverine character. Hood said that if this will push through, it would be a "crowd-pleasing moment" for people who have followed Jackman's Wolverine for almost 17 years.

Of course, the decision to appear in the "Deadpool 2" would still come from Jackman himself. But at least there's a way for him to make an appearance without breaking his word of not playing Wolverine anymore. Check out the latest trailer for the movie "Deadpool 2."
