American woman Bali incident sparked a murder inquiry in the area after police found a blood-smeared suitcase with a woman's body. The battered body was found to be that of an American tourist. After some investigations into the American woman Bali incident, police arrested the woman's 19-year-old daughter and her 21-year-old boyfriend.

According to the Associated Press, the woman in the American woman Bali incident has been identified as Sheila von Wiese Mack. The luggage where her body was contained was found at the boot of a taxi parked in front of the exclusive St. Regis Bali in Nusa Dua area on Tuesday, reports the New York Daily News.

The Independent reports that Mack's body was found wrapped in a sheet and tied with tape.

The American woman Bali incident on Tuesday happened after a taxi arrived at the hotel expecting to to find Mack. However, reports in the local media said that instead of Mack, her daughter and the boyfriend appeared. They were reportedly carrying several pieces of luggage which they immediately loaded into the car.

According to reports, the suspects had initially declined offers from hotel staff for help carrying the luggage.

Soon after loading their luggage, the couple then went back inside but they have not reappeared after that.

According to the AP, the horrifying events of the American woman Bali incident would later unfold after the taxi driver waited for two hours, hoping the couple would return. As they have not reappeared, the driver contacted hotel staff.

The staff reportedly checked the couple's room and found nobody in there. The taxi then went to a nearby police station for the luggage to be examined.

The driver, I Ketut Wirjana, told the local paper of the American woman Bali story, 'After they put in the suitcase, they went back into the lobby.'

He added, 'They told me to wait. But after waiting almost two hours, they hadn't appeared.'

Kuta Police Chief Comr. Gede Redastra told the Jakarta Post of the unfolding of the American woman Bali incident, 'When we opened the suitcase we were really surprised as we found a dead body. There was blood and wounds to her forehead.'

The couple's arrest was made Wednesday, said police. The Independent reports that they have been detained in another hotel in the Legian area of the island.

Still on Wednesday, the hotel refused to comment about the American woman Bali incident. Still, a spokesman for the hotel said the resort was cooperating with police.

The spokesman said, 'There is no more information at this stage. An investigation is proceeding.'

Mack, the victim in the American woman Bali incident, reportedly came from the Chicago suburb of Oak Park. She had been staying at the St Regis Bali Resort in the south of the island for several weeks now with her daughter 19-year-old daughter Lois Heather.

Tommy Schaefer, 21, was her daughter's boyfriend, and he had reportedly joined them in the hotel this week.

Redastra said the police were able to review CCTV footage from security cameras inside the hotel. They also interviewed several guests. The CCTV footage shows the woman fighting with her daughter's boyfriend a day before she disappeared.

According to police, they believe the American woman Bali incident began because Mack fought with the boyfriend on Monday night.

Senior police officer Redastra told the Jakarta Post of the recent discovery on the American woman Bali incident.

Redastra said, 'We suspect that Tommy and Heather are a couple and that they are the perpetrators. Tommy and the victim had a fight last night in the hotel lobby.'

Redastra added, 'We don't know yet why he killed the victim.'

American woman Bali incident victim, Mack, was reportedly married to composer and arranger James Mack. James died in 2006, after working on more than 60 albums for artists including Nancy Wilson and Jerry Butler.
