St Louis riots, along with intense looting, broke out Sunday night after angered residents protested a police shooting and killing an unarmed African American teen. Because of the death, and passionate anger of crowds which caused the St Louis riots, on Monday, the FBI took over the investigation of the weekend shooting of an officer which killed an unarmed 18-year-old African American boy.

On Saturday, the day before the St Louis riots, 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed during a scuffle with officers, reports The New York Post.

Early Sunday, according to the Chicago Tribune, police explained how the shooting incident happened. They said Brown was killed after a fight started between the Brown and an officer in a squad car.

According to police, Brown physically assaulted the officer from the Ferguson police. Because of the assault, the officer fired multiple shots at Brown after he left the car.

Police explained that Brown was shot Saturday afternoon after a struggle over a gun in a police car. During the struggle, at least one shot had been fired. It eventually led to more shots being fired by the officer before the officer left the car.

Reports say it is still unclear why Brown was in the car.

According to USA Today, investigators found multiple shell casings at the scene. Brown was reportedly shot more than once, though the exact number of times the teenager was shot at had not yet been determined. All shell casings were also found to have come from the one officer's weapon.

According to The NY Post, Brown should have begun classes at a technical college on Monday.

What was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration and candlelight vigil early Sunday turned into the St Louis riots.

According to The New York Post, things only got ugly in Ferguson, Mo. and the St Louis riots began when two officers got injured.

In the end of the St Louis riots, 32 people were arrested, said authorities to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said the St Louis riots started with a crowd of about 200 people gathering at the site of the Saturday shooting. Belmar said some of them shouted 'kill the police', while others yelled profanities.

Belmar described the beginning of the St Louis riots, 'Emotions were running very high.'

The protests Sunday only became violent after dark. The Chicago Tribune reports that the St Louis riots included rioters even smashing the windows of stores and restaurants and damaging cars.

Around two dozen businesses have been damaged because of the St Louis riots, while 32 people were arrested and two officers were injured - one injured a knee, another was struck with a brick, said police. The 32 people arrested will be facing charges which include assault, larceny and burglary.

According to USA Today, one officer had also been shot at but not injured during the St Louis riots. Nearly a dozen patrol cars have also been damaged. The St. Louis County Police said someone in the crowd fired shots at a police helicopter although it did not hit it.

St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman said that during the St Louis riots Sunday night, more than 300 police officers from 19 St. Louis-area departments tried to control the crowd while in riot gear.

By early Monday, police used tear gas was used to break up the crowd from the St Louis riots.

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told reporters on Monday, 'It breaks my heart. Last night was the worst night of my life.'

In the aftermath of the St Louis riots, the first day of school in the nearby Jennings School District had been canceled.

6 p.m. on Monday, The Chicago Tribune reports that the St. Louis County branch of the NAACP civil rights group called a meeting to discuss the case, said a spokesman for Murchison Tabernacle C.M.E Church, where the meeting will be held.

They have also called for the FBI to intervene in the investigation on the death of Brown, who, unarmed, died after getting shot multiple times by an officer in the predominantly black St. Louis suburb.

Esther Haywood, president of the county's NAACP, said in a statement, 'It is our hope that this discussion will provide accurate and reliable information to be shared with the community.'

She continued, 'Our expectation is to educate the public on the NAACP's strategy toward justice for the Brown family and the community.'

Though St. Louis County police is leading the investigation into the shooting itself, officials said that outside agencies, the FBI and St. Louis County Police Department will be having separate probes into Saturday night's shooting.

The FBI, according to a spokeswoman for the agency, will be looking into any civil rights violations in the case.

According to a statement obtained by KTVI television station, Brown's family has asked for an end to street violence. The Chicago Tribune also reports that they have hired lawyer Benjamin Crump to handle Brown's case.

Crump represented Trayvon Martin's family in his case. Trayvon is a black Florida teenager who was also unarmed when he was shot in 2012.

St Louis riots might have gone too far when it comes to expressing grief and anger over the death of Brown, but many questions remain unanswered, and the family and friends of the teenager deserve justice. The officer who shot Brown, a six-year veteran and currently on administrative leave, has still not been identified. The officer's race was also not disclosed.
