New York - The World Trade Center's 104th floor was climbed by a skinny, 16-year-old boy from Weehawken, New Jersey and the police have arrested the teenager for sneaking onto the top of the building. The boy's name is Justin Casquejo and he was immediately arrested by New York and New Jersey Port Authority and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass at 6:00 am on Sunday for sneaking into the World Trade Center's 104th floor. The misdemeanor charges include one count of criminal trespass in the third degree and one count of trespass.

Casquejo was quoted in the criminal complaint, "I walked around the construction site and figured out how to access the Freedom Tower rooftop. I found a way up through the scaffolding, climbed onto the 6th floor, and took the elevator up to the 88th floor. I then took the staircase up to 104th [floor]. I went to the rooftop and climbed the ladder all the way to the antenna."

Apparently, Casquejo was able to get into the World Trade Center's 104th floor by taking an elevator up to the 88th floor. He was able to bypass security on one of the world's most famous landmarks and went up the roof. Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo told USA TODAY Network that the teen allegedly entered the area by crawling through a 12-by-12-inch hole in the exterior fence of the perimeter climbed the tower's scaffolding and gained access to the building interior.

The guard on the World Trade Center's 104th floor has already been fired, spokesman Pentangelo says. The World Trade Center is still under construction and is nearly completed. The building being under construction is the main reason why security was easily bypassed by the skinny 16-year-old.

The World Trade Center's 104th floor was adamantly accessed by Justin Casquejo because he wanted to take pictures. His camera and cellphone were confiscated after authorities acquired a search warrant.
