The specifications of Xiaomi's latest smartphone device, the "Mi Max 2" have been leaked and it showed that the device will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC. The leaked information also revealed that it will have a 6.4-inch Full HD display and 4GB of RAM.

According to a report from the Deccan Chronicle, the leaked specs came from the benchmark test of a Xiaomi device that's called "Oxygen." The Xiaomi "Oxygen" is actually the code name the company has for its "Mi Max 2."

The benchmark test showed that Xiaomi's latest smartphone device will be equipped with an Adreno 506 GPU and 12MP camera that's capable of taking 4K videos and a 5MP front facing camera. The powerful specs of the "Mi Max 2" will be supported by a large 5000mAh battery for longer battery life.

The report adds that the device will also feature fast-charging capabilities and an NFC support for cashless payments. Gizbot reports that the device would also have a large built-in storage, having 128 GB of storage space.

Lastly, the device is said to be equipped with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat that will couple by the skin of the MIUI. The Deccan Chronicle adds that the "Mi Max 2" will be having a higher variant and is said to have bigger RAM capacity and a higher camera module.

The latest Xiaomi device is an upgrade to its predecessor, which sports a smaller battery with 4,850mAh, but has a larger camera module with 16MP that includes a sensor and PDAF. No word yet was given on when the device would be launched, but the report is saying that people could expect Xiaomi to release the "Mi Max 2" in May.
