Fans who are expecting "Game of Thrones" Season 7 to premiere in April like in previous seasons will be disappointed to know that Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos, said it will probably come out in July. Season 7 will also only have seven episodes.

In an interview with Irish Independent, Cunningham said he has been disappointing fans from around the world with the news that the premiere of the hit HBO Original series is delayed. "It's July now, I think," the actor said.

He also said that they will be having a launch for the premiere of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and they're also planning a "special happening." iDigitalTimes reports that the reason for the delay was because the production team of the hit series was delayed for two months in filming.

This is due to season 7 having more winter scenes. The production team wanted the filming schedule to commence during the winter season and be able to chase whatever ice is left as they finish.

The report said that the usual April release date, like what they did with the previous seasons, was not really going to happen, given the delay in starting the production for the series. But Cunningham's revelation about the schedule, assuming that he is right about it, still shows a delay, as they were expecting for the show to premiere in June, not July.

But that's not the only bad news that Cunningham shared during the interview. He also said "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will only have seven episodes, giving the fans only a short amount of time to enjoy the hit HBO original series.

As for the season finale, Cunningham said that, as far as he knows, production will begin in September. Check out the Comic-Con teaser trailer for "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and the sneak peek of the in-production in the video below.
