The largest leisure travel organization in North America, AAA, has recently added 6 hotels and 1 restaurant to its list of Five Diamond properties. These hospitality establishments represent the highest award given by AAA, encompassing properties all over USA, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean.

Since 1937, AAA has been rating hotels and restaurants using professional rating methods and on-site inspections by AAA's professional inspectors. World-class service, excellent staff and overall appearance of these hotels and restaurants are some of the factors AAA experts take into account to be included in the Five Diamond Properties list.

According to Michael Petrone, director of AAA Inspections and Diamond Ratings, "Five Diamond establishments represent the upper echelon of hospitality, redefining personalized service, using creativity to enhance guest comfort and providing memorable experiences." AAA rates more properties than any travel authorities in the world.

So which 6 hotels got into the list for the first time? Let's take a look at some of them:

The Jefferson Hotel - Richmond, Va. This hotel defines timeless class with its rich history and superb service that never went down in its years of operation. Guests will enjoy the stunning architecture and high-class amenities The Jefferson Hotel is famous for.

Four Seasons Hotel Mexico D.F. - Mexico City. This 5-star hotel is now a five diamond property because of its warm yet classy ambiance fit for the most elite. 24/7 assistance is always catered to guests for a more relaxing experience, all without losing the touch of classic Mexican hospitality.

Spice Island Beach Resort - St. George's, Grenada. This inclusive resort in the Caribbean got the attention of AAA inspectors because of its serious intake on guest privacy, all the while providing the most memorable experience to their guests. Serenity and beauty are their top priorities, not to mention the crystal-clear waters of their beach.

These are some of the hotels included on the AAA Five Diamond List. And for the newly inducted restaurant, The Modern in New York got the award. Chef Abram Bissell got the praise as his excellent cuisine and customer service wowed the inspectors when they went to visit.
