Five Countries That Are Both Beautiful And Dangerous

Vacations are meant to be enjoyed and be memorable, in a good way. While some are looking for thrill, most people just want to relax and have fun. If you belong to thrill-seeker groups, caution is still necessary as some dangers would lurk even at the most scenic spots.

Olivier Le Carrer, an author for travel books warned tourists that some destinations are dangerous for different reasons. It is not just about the treachery of the place but the crime and the attitude of locals that tourists must be careful about. Be sure to practice caution when you visit these places. Here are five countries that are both beautiful and dangerous:

Iceland is home to more than 30 volcanoes, most of them are active; this is the country where fire meets ice. The combination sounds magical yet the danger is real. An erupting volcano can spew magma and ashes that can burn nearby villages. Earthquakes are felt as the plate underground move. Volcano eruption can cause major damages to properties, transportation and life.

It is not certain whether the hot weather in the Caribbean/ Latin America region is responsible for causing too many cases of heart attacks. Some beaches are open to public without a lifeguard thus drowning is common. Car accidents are also observed in most places.

Listed as one of the most dangerous places by Esquire magazine, Guatemala is a host to many crimes, corruption and disasters. While it prides to be the home of picture-worthy architecture at El Mirador and Yaxha, tourists are warned to take care of their belongings. Many incidents of lost items by foreigners were reported.

Prepare to face a number of inconveniences while you Myanmar/Burma. ATM machines are hard to find. Pollution is almost everywhere. Small anti-government bandits can disrupt your vacation mood while at Shan State.

The heat and the high crime rates in Ethiopia and in nearby regions are enough to cause alarm to any tourist. Be sure to think twice before heading here. Be sure to check out this article from Travelers Today. It will warn you of most dangerous cities in the planet.
