Due to several bombings that had happened this month including that of the Coptic Cathedral that killed 25 innocent souls in Egypt, the US government under the state department has shown concern to her citizens who will be traveling to Egypt and Jordan for holidays of the danger of terrorist attack.

According to Straitstimes, despite the Egyptians having strengthened their security in some tourists points such as Luxor and Aswan, the States Department has insisted that terrorists do not withdraw easily and thus can attack anywhere at any time. They further warned American citizens in Egypt to stay far from the Sinai Peninsula and western Desert.

The Sinai Peninsula or essentially Sinai is a landmass in Egypt, arranged between the Mediterranean Sea toward the north and the Red Sea toward the south serving as a land connect amongst Asia and Africa. The landmass has for several years succeeded in being a tourist attraction because of its natural setting, rich coral reefs, and scriptural history.

Reported by Trend, mount Sinai is a standout amongst the most religiously noteworthy places in Judaism faith. The western desert, on the other hand, is a part of the Sahara Desert which borders river Nile has an elegant resort called Sharm El-Sheikh that has sandy beaches and clear waters.

Though it may seem that Egypt is not the only place that could be attacked. The US state department has pointed out that Jordan can be attacked too. Jordan is a strategic point for tourism mostly for Christians since it is believed that Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River.

The threat in Jordan is alarming as we mark the incidence that happened in the southern city of Karak. More than twelve individuals were executed. A Canadian traveler who was by chance in the city was killed in two assaults by Islamist extremists. Despite Egypt and Jordan having a sentimental connection to the Christian faiths, all American citizens should hold their attraction to visit the places for a while due to the marked terror attacks in the areas.
