It's been a few weeks since the trade season opened and a lot of names have surfaced. Nerlens Noel is probably the most talked about player in the league today but no team has made a move yet to acquire the Philadelphia 76ers center. But there have been a few NBA trade rumors spreading that Noel could be a good fit for the New York Knicks.

ESPN reported that 76ers GM Bryan Colangelo could speak to teams that are interested in Noel. Also, Noel has signed with a new agent, Dan Fegan, who is well-known for getting his player's good contracts in the past. These recent events gave room to NBA trade rumors and it appears that a Noel trade is inevitable.

According to Fox Sports, Noel would be a good fit for the Knicks roster where he could defend the power forward and center positions. He's also a good shot blocker and could force turnovers as well. With the Knicks being ranked 16th in forcing turnovers per game, he could be a good addition and could improve the Knicks defense even more.

He would be a good complement for Kristaps Porzingis since Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek has no plans of switching Porzingis at the center position. With Noel, Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony at the frontcourt, the Knicks could easily secure a playoff spot in the postseason.

Adding Noel to the Knicks roster would also provide more depth since the Knicks currently have Joakim Noah, Kyle O'Quinn, Marshall Plumlee and Willy Hernangomez manning the center position. Noah has been battling injuries this season and both Plumlee and Hernangomez still have so much to prove. O'Quinn is probably the only center the Knicks could rely on but he's more of a backup than a starter.

Noel has been involved in a lot of NBA trade rumors lately and aside from the Knicks, the Raptors are also showing interest in him. The Boston Celtics and Portland Trailblazers could also be eyeing Noel before the trade deadline ends.

There's still a few weeks left to go before the trade season ends. Both the Knicks and 76ers could still strike a deal for these NBA trade rumors to happen.
