NBC has picked "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon as host for the most awaited award show of the year, the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. The 2017 Golden Globe Award will air on January 8, presented live from Beverly Hilton. It will be scheduled from 8 to 11p.m. ET/5 to 8p.m. PT.
In the new promo clip for the 2017 Golden Globe Award, assigned host Jimmy Fallon reveals he wants the show to strongly display a party-like kind of atmosphere. He also stated that the show should be like a party and people should enjoy parties because that is what the Golden Globe Award is all about.
According to Gamenguide, Jimmy Fallon also added that The Golden Globe Award is by far the best of all the award shows to take place. This is because it consists the biggest celebrities and athletes from television, both from the film industry and the music industry. For Jimmy Fallon, this is his fourth appearance in hosting the show and he is no stranger to this kind of events.
"This is the most spontaneous and reckless awards show on television, and Jimmy's playful humor with the comedic brilliance combined makes him the ideal host to enhance and elevate the sense of fun that has made the Golden Globe Award one of the premier events of the entire broadcast year."

Nominations for the 2017 Golden Globe Award has already been announced last December 12.
