After appearing in the "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice," Ben Affleck is now ready to take another leap as Bruce Wayne or the cape crusader in his upcoming film "The Batman." The actor and filmmaker is in fact taking the lead in making the famous superhero movie.

As per Movie Web, Ben refuses to make a "mediocre" Batman movie. He is exerting effort and taking time to perfect the script along with Geoff Johns, DC Films' President. Affleck, who was listed among the 2016 Entertainers of the Year by Entertainment Weekly, also said in an interview that he wouldn't let the production proceed unless the script is set.

Also a director, Ben Affleck wanted to assure "The Batman" will be worth every penny they are spending over the film. The release date is said to be in 2018 although no confirmation has been done yet.

Meanwhile, the Movie News Guide revealed several reasons why Ben Affleck might be the best Batman to date. One of which is his passion and commitment in taking the role seriously along with co-writing the script and directing the movie himself.

Another is his exemplary portrayal as seen in the recent DC films where he appeared as the Batman. The source also cited his dedication in giving the movie and script enough time as to not rush things.

Aside from Affleck, Joe Manganiello will also be seen in the movie as the Deathstroke, one of the toughest enemies of Batman. Rumors say that more villains will appear in the solo Batman movie that might include Cat Woman.

Ben Affleck also shared a moment where he's 4-year-old son Samuel Garner Affleck loved his portrayal as Batman and even thinks he is the real superhero. The actor also added that even he knows his son will soon realize he's just portraying the character, he is now enjoying his amusement while it lasts.
