Viewers of "Dragon Ball Super" were no doubt entertained by the filler episodes. The conclusion of the Future Trunks Saga is nearing as it ends on episode 76. This time, a new story arc titled the Universe Survival Saga is about to begin.

This new story arc is the fifth major saga of "Dragon Ball Super" which will debut on Feb. 5, 2017. Fans are excited about the next saga especially after seeing the characters included in a promo on the February 2017 issue of Shueisha’s V Jump.

It included Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Gohan, Master Roshi, Androids 17 & 18, Majinn Buu and Piccolo, Anime News Network reported. While Yamcha, Gotens, and Trunks are not there, fans wondered why Master Roshi was part of it.

Recently, a preview video of the new arc was released. In the said clip, a brief review of the past arcs was featured. To recall, the story arc God of Destruction Beerus premiered on July followed by the ‘Golden Freeza’ arc. In 2016, the ‘Universe 6’ arc began followed by the on-going ‘Future Trunks’ arc.

In February 2017, the ‘Universal Survival’ story will kick-off. According to ComicBook, teasers reveal that “All the Gods of Destruction and Kaiōshin assemble, and an inter-universe martial arts competition is announced.”

Said tournament of power will have 10 representatives from every universe and will be the beginning of universal destruction. The fighters need to give their best because those who lose will have their universe annihilated. Fans are looking forward for intense battles from the elites.

It is noted that Goku died in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 71 after the legendary assassin Hit came to kill him. Gohan, Gotens and Picollo arrived just after Hit killed Super Saiyan Blue Goku with one powerful punch. But spoilers reveal that Goku will actually live. However, it is not yet known on what way he will come to life.
