One of the world's most popular video game companies, the Japanese-based company Nintendo will be launching a special attraction at the Universal Studios theme park in Japan. The theme park's new project will be called the "Super Nintendo World", which will feature Nintendo-themed attractions for all the video game-loving fans to see.

According to the Verge, the new attraction will eventually be seen in Universal Studios theme parks in Universal Studios Japan located in Osaka Prefecture, Orlando in Florida and also, in Hollywood, California. The Super Nintendo World attraction was said to feature many "attractions based on many Nintendo titles", as said by Nintendo.

This Nintendo-themed wonderland will be opening in year 2020, the year which will also be the start of the 2020 Summer Olympics, which will be held in Tokyo, Japan, as stated by engadget. The news about its locations was announced during late November. According to Nintendo, the park attraction will showcase "state-of-the-art rides, interactive areas, shops and restaurants, all featuring Nintendo's most popular characters and games."

Many famous characters from the video games made by Nintendo will be featured, especially Mario and Luigi from considered as the most popular and one of the best video games ever made, "Super Mario Bros." Nintendo also stated that the attraction will also include "globally popular Nintendo characters", which will probably include Link and Zelda, from Nintendo's fantasy and adventure-themed role playing game "The Legend of Zelda", and the gorilla "Donkey Kong" from the Nintendo arcade game "Donkey Kong" which was released in 1981. Nintendo recently posted via Twitter a teaser image of Super Nintendo World featuring Mario and Luigi. The image also showed mascots of Princess Peach, Mario's love interest and the game's damsel in distress, and Toad, the mushroom-headed character that serves as Princess Peach's loyal attendant and provides assistance to Mario during the game.
