Pokémon Go fans rejoice because Niantic is set to release an update that will soon add about 100 more Pokémon to the game. Aside from that, the game will also receive a Christmas event update that will be similar to the one it got during Halloween, and Starbucks might have leaked this major update.

The Christmas festivities in Pokémon Go will see a great number of certain Pokémon being spawned. According to reports, players can expect to see more Snorlax, Starme, Staryu, Seel, Clefairy, and Clefeeble spawn more frequently. During the Halloween event, ghost type Pokémon such as Ghastly and Haunter were released. Fan speculation has also been given some additional fuel thanks to an alleged accidental leak by Starbucks that to suggest that an update might be coming this week, as reported by the Daily Dot. The leaked documents were Starbucks employees' training manuals to make every physical store in the United States as a PokéStop or gym. According to the document, a special frappuccino drink was also concocted for the Pokémon Go players to enjoy.

In the next update, Niantic will also be looking to lower down the number of steps that a player needs to travel in order to gain some Buddy bonuses and hatch eggs. Some fans are even speculating that the game's first legendary Pokémon in the upcoming Christmas update will be a special gift for the fans. Players in the U.K. will also have a much easier time hunting for Pokémon in the wild thanks to the "Nearby" feature recently launched by the game's developers.

Players can access this feature by tapping on the Pokemon symbol on the lower right-hand side of the screen. The feature shows players the local landmarks where certain Pokémon can be found. This new feature is currently only available in the U.K, but Niantic plans on releasing it in other territories within the coming weeks.

The developers will also be looking to fix the game's loading problems, but there is no word yet on when this patch will be released. However, they have shared a workaround to players to avoid issues with the loading bug. In a tweet, Niantic states that players can just restart the app in case they encounter the loading glitch. According to an earlier report by The Express, Niantic is planning on releasing a patch that should help fix this annoying bug for good.
