Top Five Richest Countries In Asia This 2016 You Probably Didn't Notice

Asia is one of the most popular and powerful continents in the world. With the continent's countries becoming successful and rich, Asia has become very influential in this generation. However, despite the many contribution of Asian countries, there are countries that really stand out.

As listed by The Mesh News and World's Top Most, there are Asian countries that have been successful compared to the others with regards to its economy. Here are the Top five richest countries in Asia.

1. Qatar- This country can be described as "small but terrible". Qatar may be a small country but yes, it is the richest country not only in Asia, but also the entire world. Due to the country's abundance of oil, 85 percent of the country's income comes from its oil exports. With a GDP per capita of $98,900, this small country made it big in its economy.

2. Singapore- Just like Qatar, Singapore is also a small country known for its business and commerce. With a GDP per capita of $64,500, it is considered the 2nd richest country in Asia. The main source of the country's success is its tourism. Many people visit Singapore because of its wonderful tourists spots that led to the prosperity of its economy.

3. Macau- With lots of foreign investors and attractive tourist spots, Macau is recognized as the 3rd richest country in Asia. Just like Singapore, Macau gains much of its income from its tourism and gambling. Tourists love to visit Macau for a vacation and therefore resulted to the country's economical prosperity. With a GDP per capita of about $59,500, the country is indeed successful.

4. Hong Kong- The country is known for openly welcoming investments and trade. Hong Kong gets most of its income from engaging businesses and international trade. With a GDP per capita of about $55,400, Hong Kong is known as the 4th richest country in Asia.

5. Brunei- Despite being a small country, Brunei has proven itself to be successful and rich. The citizens of the country have a high purchasing power and the country's government provides well for its citizens. With a GDP per capita of about $55,200, Brunei is considered the 5th richest country in Asia. Most of its income comes from oil since the country is also rich in oil supply.
