Giant spider dog is making headlines, but not because of what people might think at first. A dog named Chica is now famous for being the "giant spider dog", lurking in apartment buildings, elevators and subway underpasses, appearing to wait for her unsuspecting prey and tangle them in her web. However, it's not the giant spider dog one should be looking out for, but the camera - a prankster's camera.

A video of the giant spider dog currently going viral captures the hilarious reactions of the prankster's victims, and it's probably one of the most ingenious pranks ever.

As reported by The Independent, at first the video would seem like just a dog wearing a spider outfit. Apparently, upon closer inspection, one would realize that the man who created the video made the giant spider dog prank scary enough that rational individuals would be screaming and running for their lives.

According to the New York Daily News, the video of the giant spider dog prank was created by a Polish prankster named Sylwester Wardega. He reportedly owns Chica the dog, and for the prank he took great efforts at dressing up Chica in a giant furry spider costume to look like a spider.

The costume looks to be almost engulfing the medium-sized black dog. It had a large, furry body with several large, long protruding legs which bounced around as the dog walks, or runs towards unsuspecting victims.

Wardega unleashed his giant spider dog at night and recorded the reaction of horrified passersby.

For the giant spider dog prank, SA Wardega  was not only able to transform Chica into a large predator, but he also took great effort into putting on fake giant webs, severed body parts and fake dead people into the whole prank to effectively scare people.

As described by KGW.com, the video of the giant spider dog prank was filmed at night, probably since the prank wouldn't have worked during the day. Under the cover of the dark, Chica the "giant spider dog" looked so real that everyone she met just ran and screamed for their lives.

In one scene, Chica the giant spider dog is seen lying on top of a "dead" Wardega inside an elevator. Two women who were supposed to get in just ran screaming and out of the building in terror when they saw the scene and Chica started running after them.

In another scene, in the subway, one man was totally clueless of what's to come. He even takes out his phone to take snapshots of the fake body parts dangling around wrapped in rope to look like the meal of a giant spider.

However, when he saw the giant spider dog starting to race towards him, the horrified man began running as fast as he can to get away, but not without falling right into Chica's web, which was craftily created out of rope.

After getting enough footage for the prank and scaring enough people Wardega posted the series of scared reactions as a video on YouTube.

Even though Wardega used the best music for the video of the giant spider dog prank, which is akin to the sounds of a horror film, the video would have still been hilarious.

According to the NY Daily News, Chica now has her own Facebook page, which has gained over 15,000 likes as of Friday morning.

Giant spider dog video has garnered over 5 million views in only one day. Now, its views have risen to more than 24 million times. So the next time you see If you ever see a giant spider dog, make sure to look for the camera too.
