'Pig' the dog is taking the internet by storm. Looking like a rare creature with unusual deformities, 'Pig' the dog walks like a gorilla, looks like a pig because of her neck, and acts, well, like a dog.

At first glance, 'Pig' the dog certainly looks strange and unable to function. However, even with gangly legs and a body with no neck, people cannot help but love the 8-month-old dog.

According to Dr. Rachael Hudson-Breland, a veterinarian who treats Pig, 'The whole clinic loves her. She comes in and she's a rock star here.'

Hudson-Breland says that none of the other vets who care for 'Pig' the dog have seen other animals with the same condition. However, Pig's owner, Alabama Kim Dillenbeck, said that she has seen several dogs in the Intenet which looked similar to 'Pig' the dog.

And on the Internet is where 'Pig' the dog is attracting the attention of unexpectedly many people. According to the Associated Press, tens of thousands have already flocked to view INternet video of 'Pig' the dog after her coming-out party during a community event in Birmingham last month. Not only does 'Pig' the dog attracting followers via video, but she now has her own Facebook page which reportedly already has more than 3,400 followers.

Born in Atlanta, 'Pig' the dog was came to the world with severe deformities. The New York Post reports that 'Pig' the dog was found by Dillenbeck as a puppy together with three littermates in a wooded area in metro Atlanta. 'Pig' the dog was reportedly smaller than her siblings with the weight of 15 or so pounds and her spine was reported to have measured about 7 inches shorter than normal. It was wavy and her many bones were apparently fused together as well.

Dillenbeck first saw 'Pig' the dog during a Christmas visit. The Alabama woman later brought 'Pig' the dog home and added that thinking of a name for the dog proved to be easy. Dillenbeck said, 'When she was really, really little she looked like a little fuzzy piglet.'

Like how a supposed 'fuzzy piglet' would act, 'Pig' the dog hops like a frog in order to stand up and walks with a high-shouldered gait that resembles a gorilla, reports CBS Local. Because 'Pig' the dog cannot swing her head and instead she has to spin the whole of her body in order to see an object beside her.

Last week, it was dog owners at a suburban park who had to spin their whole body to see 'Pig' the dog. Apparently surprised at the dog's appearance and abilities, the locals even lost track of their own animals when they stopped to watch Pig play in the water and run the grounds unexpectedly quickly.

According to Dillenbeck, the situation is the same each time she and 'Pig' the dog goes out in public. She said, 'She always draws a crowd.'

While 'Pig' the dog is comfortable playing and running with other animals and doesn't have any major health problems, she does tire easily and sometimes loses balance while toppling over.

'Pig' the dog is however in great shape, says reports. Hudson-Breland even said, 'I don't think Pig really knows that she looks different.'
