Mickey Mouse is getting expensive. Disneyland has raised its ticket prices just in time for the holiday weekend.

One-day passes for visitors aged 10 and up have jumped from $92 to $96 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. and tickets for children under 10 have jumped $4 to $90 for a day pass. The pice of a one-day "Park Hopper" pass which allows access to both Disneyland and California Adventure Park. have also jumped about 10 percent from $137 to $150 a day, Fortune reports.

"Like any business, we periodically evaluate our pricing and make adjustments based on a variety of factors. A ticket to our theme parks represents a great value, particularly when you look at the breadth and quality of attractions and entertainment we offer and the special moments guests experience with our cast," Suzi Brown, the Disneyland Resort's director of media relations, said according to Fortune.

This most recent price hike comes less than a year than Disneyland raised the prices the last time. Last June, the cost of a day pass increased by 6 percent to $87 and other types of pass prices increased as well. Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando also raised its prices this year. The Magic Kingdom now costs $99 a day while Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom cost $94 a day.

Disneyland has also done away with new annual passes, which will have many locals who wanted to become year-round members disappointed. Those who already have passes will be able to renew them.

Disneyland has also raised the price of a Deluxe Annual Passport from $499 to $519 and the premium annual passport that has no blackout dates increased from $669 to $699. However the park has done away with annual passes that are available at a discount of Southern California residents as representatives say the park was getting too overcrowded with locals. The park will not sell new passes to locals but those who already have passes will be able to renew them. A spokeswoman said that they expect to resume the sales of new passes at some point in the future.
