A JetBlue flight was diverted to Orlando on Wednesday after an emergency evacuation slide opened mid-air.

JetBlue Flight 1266 from Fort Myers, Florida to Boston, had to make a top at Orlando International Airport after the slide partially deployed inside the plane toward the aircraft's galley. JetBlue spokesman Anders Lindstrom told the Associated Press that at no point did the aircraft door open and nothing was hanging outside of the plane.

The Embraer E-190 aircraft made a safe landing in Orlando at about 3:40 p.m.
There were 73 passengers and four crew members on board the flight involved in the incident however no one was injured.

It is not clear what caused the slide to deploy into the aircraft cabin. After the flight landed in Florida, it was taken out of service for inspection. A replacement aircraft was provided later for passengers to continue their trip to Boston.

The National Transportation and Safety Board is aware of the incident and is looking into it. The agency will decide whether or not to investigate after more information becomes available.
