Paramore is going cruising! The rock band, lead by singer, Hayley Williams, is the latest group to headline their own cruise ship festival.
The group confirmed on Thursday that they will be taking to the high seas for their Parahoy! cruise. They are partnering with the cruise brand Sixthman and will sail from March 7 to 11, 2014.
Paramore won't be alone on the trip. They announced that Tegan and Sara will also be joining and more bands will soon be announced. The cruise is set to depart from Miami on March 7 aboard the Norwegian Peal and will arrive at Great Stirrup Cay in the Caribbean on March 11. The remainder of the cruise lineup will be announced shortly. Rooms will start at $650 per person.
Music fans will have plenty to see as there will be concerts across multiple stages on the ship. The cruise will allow for fan interaction and artist collaboration. Paramore and the other bands will host a series of activities like Q&A sessions and other activities.
Paramore recently released a self-titled album. It debuted atop the Billboard 200. The band will be on tour throughout North America with Hellogoodbye and Metric from Oct. 15 to Nov. 27.
Paramore isn't the only group to take to the seas. Weezer helped kick off the rock cruise craze with their sailing in 2011. They announce din March that they will be holding another cruise in 2014. They will depart on Feb. 13 next year with Cat Power, Toro Y Moi, DIIV, and a host of others. Matchbox Twenty also held their own cruise.
Another artist that tried to pull off a music cruise was Mark McGrath but the sailing was cancelled, supposedly due to low ticket sales.
