In a spirited celebration of the Chinese New Year, Ferrari World Yas Island and Warner Bros. WorldTM Yas Island, located in Abu Dhabi, gears up for a lively extravaganza from Feb. 3-18. The parks are set to resonate with the themes of power, nobleness, honor, luck, and success associated with the Year of the Dragon.
At Ferrari World Yas Island, each day will commence with the dynamic 'La Piazza Dragon Show' on the La Piazza Stage. According to Breaking Travel News, this electrifying performance, narrating the mythical tale of Nion, includes a mesmerizing Dragon Dance, skilled Chinese acrobats, and live drummers. Guests will also have the chance to engage with park characters during special meet-and-greet sessions, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
The celebration at Ferrari World extends to family-friendly activities such as Chinese calligraphy demonstrations, workshops, and face painting. Guests can partake in the Chinese New Year tradition of making wishes by hanging red cards on the wishing tree, symbolizing hope and good fortune. Red envelopes distributed to guests will contain exclusive vouchers for the park's dining experiences.

In a significant stride towards preserving its cultural heritage, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) proudly unveiled the first plaque on the façade of the Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi. This event, attended by dignitaries, building owners, and the press, marked the Cultural Foundation as one of the initial 62 modern heritage sites identified across Abu Dhabi.
A news report stated that His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, emphasized the cultural importance of these landmarks, reflecting Abu Dhabi's rich heritage. The plaquing of the Cultural Foundation serves as a symbolic gesture, showcasing its status as a pivotal modern heritage site.
The Modern Heritage Conservation Initiative, initiated in 2023 by DCT Abu Dhabi, underscores the commitment to protect and promote cultural landmarks. The announcement identified 62 modern heritage sites for immediate and unconditional protection, in accordance with the Cultural Heritage Law established in 2016.
Moving forward, DCT Abu Dhabi continues its comprehensive survey of Abu Dhabi's built environment, identifying more modern heritage sites for formal registration, protection, and conservation.
