Built during the Roman era, the citadel you see today was improved by French military engineer Vauban. Today, it is one of the best-know tourist destinations in Namur.

Guided Underground Tour

Visitors can enjoy 450 meters of restored galleries that include 3D animations and projections. Reservations should be made in advance and can be done online.
Tourist Train
If seemingly endless walking is not your cup of tea, you can opt to board the tourist train instead. The train allows you to comfortable view the sights in the fortress as well as of the river, valley, and the rest of Namur.
