Twentieth Century Fox will again delay the release of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" by one month, this time to February 9, 2018. A reason was not given for the delay, but February has been considered a better month for release when it comes to films.

According to a report from ScreenRant, the movie was supposed to release in February this year but it was delayed to 2018. The reason for the first delay was star Dylan O'Brien being injured on the set and production had to shut down while he recovers.

But a reason wasn't provided for the delay of the movie's release this time around. However, the release date for "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" will only be delayed for a month, as instead of the original January 12, 2018 set date, it will now be released on February 9.

The report said that the movie is the third installment in James Dashner's "Maze Runner" trilogy but it will already be roughly two and a half years since the second installment of the trilogy hit the theaters, which could contribute to "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" struggling at the box office. "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" was released in September of 2015.

But since the first two films in the trilogy made some decent money, according to Heroic Hollywood, there's a big possibility that the third movie will have some success as well. A one month delay in the release doesn't seem that long, compared to its first delay.

The report adds that February has also been a relatively much better month for films that are releasing, compared to January. So a release date of February 9, could actually be considered beneficial for "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" instead of detrimental.
