It looks like "Scream Queens" Season 3 has a very slim chance of happening now, especially with one of its main stars likely not returning. Emma Roberts, who plays Chanel Oberlin, is moving on to a different project, making a movie this time.

According to a report from Stars Post, Roberts had revealed via her Instagram account that she is already moving on to do a movie. The post is a picture of her sporting a brunette hair she called "smokey quartz."

She captioned in the post that her hair color is for the next movie that she will be doing. The report said that Roberts actually has several upcoming projects lined up.

She will be part "Billionaire Boys Club," "Spinning Man," and "Four Seasons." Furthermore, she will also be part of a new project that's based on a 2015 movie, entitled "In a relationship."

As for her role as Chanel in "Scream Queens" Season 3, Roberts has yet to actually make a comment about it. There's also no confirmation on whether the show has been renewed already for season 3.

Unreality TV reports that its possible for Roberts to wear a blonde wig in case she needs to reprise her role. But with numerous projects already lined up, it's impossible for her to sneak in some space for the TV series.

Though Fox has yet to make an official announcement or comment on cancellation rumors, Roberts and the other lead actress Lea Michele, who plays Hester Ulrich, didn't wait for an official announcement from the studio and moved on to different projects.

The report said that the "increasingly falling ratings" of "Scream Queens" season 2 raised speculations that Fox will be canceling it after the season ends. Fox's Garry Newman Madden did say early this year that they're still considering renewing the show for season 3.

He noted that the ratings don't really tell the whole story. But there wasn't any more update about the show after that.

For now, the show's lead casts are moving on, and this could be an indication that "Scream Queens" Season 3 won't happen. Check out the best moments of Roberts character, Chanel Oberlin, in season 2 of the show.
