With every passing day, fans are getting more excited and more hyped for the upcoming spin-off series of "Naruto Shippuden" titled "Boruto: Naruto New Generations." Sadly, we got to see the end of the legendary anime series after a decade of dominating the mainstream anime. Some of the fans are worried that the new series will only shadow its great predecessor considering that the new series will have a new author. However, the show makers assured the fans that this will be different.

According to Comic Book, characters from Masashi Kishimoto's "Naruto Shippuden" will still have some influence in Boruto's story. However, the crew is making every effort to limit the legendary character's role to balance out and made room for the new characters. As stated by the director Noriyuki Abe, they are preventing the show to become a "Naruto 2.0"' but instead, made a new unique story that will entertain both old and new fans.

Both Naruto and Sasuke became legendary ninjas following the Great Ninja War. Though they will not appear regularly in the new show, they will continue to influence the new generation of ninjas. Their son and daughter will be especially influenced as Boruto admired Sasuke while Sarada looked up to Naruto.

The show will not be complete without the rivalry that will compel the lead characters to improve and grow stronger like what Naruto is to Sasuke. As for "Boruto: Naruto New Generations," there are a few candidates as a rival for Boruto. One is the adoptive son of Gaara, named Shinki and the other is Nara Shikadai, Shikamaru and Temari's son.

A preview was shown last Sunday which featured Boruto played by Yuko Sanpei promoting the upcoming anime as reported by Anime Now. The promotional video showcased KANA-BOON's new song "Baton Road" that served as the theme song for "Boruto: Naruto New Generations." They are also the band behind the epic 16th opening song of "Naruto Shippuden" titled "Silhouette." The new spin-off series will premiere on April 5, 2017.
