"Boruto: Naruto Next Generation" manga has finally broke away from the original "Naruto Shippuden" timeline with its 10th chapter. Chapter 10 marked the end of the recap of the 2015 movie where Naruto with his son and the other ninjas face Momoshiki Otsutsuki. Following the announcement of anime adaptaion of the manga series, Boruto will set off to the modernized ninja world to follow his own destiny.

Chapter 10 started off with the aftermath of the battle against Momoshiki when Naruto and Sasuke are having a brief talk about their rivalry. Meanwhile, Boruto sensing something in the God Tree, went over the gigantic tree stump to be confronted by none other than Momoshiki. The Otsutsuki member said that he can clearly see Boruto's future saying that the child's blue eyes would one day make him lose everything. He also added that Boruto will cease being a normal person as he have already killed a god.

The new chapter titled 'My Story' shows a lot of future events to anticipate as reported by The Geekiary. As we all know eyes in the "Naruto Shippuden" universe played a huge role in the overall plot of the series. Basing on the statement of Momoshiki, Boruto is facing a dark future and his eyes will play a huge role in the days to come.

Meanwhile, a scene showed Gaara with his adoptive son Shinki talking about Boruto and his battle against Momoshiki. Shinki is both amazed and frustrated as to how Boruto managed to win against the god-like villain. With that being said, Shinki may have developed some sort of rivalry relationship with Boruto and that the of them will clash in the future.

Accoding to Asia Starz, the final moments of the chapter portrayed Boruto together with his teammates, Sarada and Mitsuki waiting for Konohamaru before going on a mission. Boruto was questioned if he would like to be a Hokage which he instantly answered no. He said that the story of a boy who became a Hokage was his father's story instead he wants to become a cool ninja like Sasuke. However a mysterious mark was seen on his palm before they set off on their mission.
