"Irregular at Magic High School" has been recently announced to have a theatrical version that will be titled "Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Calls the Stars". The filmmakers have already made an official website that update enthusiasts on how the movie is progressing. The latest update revealed a lot of stuff regarding the film including the release date, staffs and other set of visuals.

The film was based on the light novel written by Tsutomu Satou which was adapted into a manga series in April 2008 and later on into an anime version. The movie is a new and original story which takes place during the second spring after the protagonists have finished their first year in the Magic High School as reported by Comic Book. Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba are currently on their spring break and went to their villa in the Ogasawara Island when a mysterious girl named Kokoa showed up claiming that she escaped a Naval Defence Base.

Kokoa appears to be a young girl with blue eyes, black hair and pale white skin. Very little is known about her past and her identity is shrouded in mystery. It can also be assumed the movie title is closely associated with her.

According to Crunchy Roll, the film will be directed by Risako Yoshida and the Character Design taken care by Kana Ishida. The project also marks the transfer of the title from its previous producer Madhouse to Studio 8-bit. The cast from the anime will reprise their role in the movie with Yuichi Nakamura voicing Tatsuya Shiba and Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba to name a few.

Tickets for the movies are already available for pre-order in which buyers will have a free exclusive poster. Other's who will not pre-order tickets can buy tickets for 1,500 Yen or $13. It is revealed that the Japanese release date of the Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Calls the Stars" movie will be on June 17, 2017.
