"Stranger Things" Season 2 is still months away from premiering but Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos had the privilege of getting first dibs on episode 1 of the show. He was impressed with what he watched and said that this is exactly what the fans are expecting.

Digital Spy said that the report first came from NME (but the page cannot be found anymore) that Sarandos and Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings were lucky enough to be the first few people to watch episode 1 of the much awaited season 2 of the series. This is despite the show's producers putting up "Game of Thrones"-level security to avoid spoilers and leaks for the series.

Though the two executives didn't provide any leaks about the episode, they clearly enjoyed it. Sarandos said that "Stranger Things" Season 2 Episode 1 is "fantastic" and it clearly delivered "on everything that every fan wants."

Both Hastings and Sarandos is expecting bigger things for season 2 of the hit series. Sarandos even said that "the reaction and momentum" internally in Netflix is already building.

Kevin Yeoman of Screen Rant reports that the eagerness of the Netflix executives about season 2 of the show is just as high as the eagerness of the fans awaiting its premiere, which will be on Halloween this year. And Netflix is already aware of the footprint the show has left behind.

Yeoman said this is more evident when the streaming service provider decided to release the trailer for "Stranger Things" Season 2 as a commercial during the biggest sporting event of the year, Super Bowl LI. The event has been used by studios to reveal their upcoming blockbusters, and with Netflix doing the same, it's confident that the show will be big and it will deliver on the fan's expectation.

Now all the fans have to do is to wait for October 31 to see if the show is really as "fantastic" as Sarandos said. Check out the trailer for "Stranger Things" Season 2 that was aired during the Super Bowl commercial break.
