Tsunomaru already came out with the final volume of the "Taiyou no Makibao" manga last February 17, which also indicated the end of the Makibao series. Several popular manga illustrators, like Eiichiro Oda of "One Piece," "Naruto's" Masashi Kishimoto, and more showed their support at Shueisha's Weekly Playboy magazine.

According to a report from Anime News Network, the Makibao manga series began in 1995 with the "Midori no Makibao" manga. It's a manga series that focuses on the world of jockey horses, with Midori Makibao being the "small but spirited racehorse."

The racehorse is determined to defeat his rival racehorse Cascade and be king of the racetrack. The small racehorse is also looking to free up his mother, who was used as debt payment. The manga was also made into an anime series.

Though Tsunomaru is a long-time competitor with other illustrators Oda, Kishimoto, and other artists provided a send-off illustration in this year's 11th issue of the Weekly Playboy magazine for their colleague. The artists who participated includes "One-Punch Man's" Yuusuke Murata, "Sakigake!! Otoko Juku's" Akira Miyashita, "Kinnikuman's" Yudetamago, "Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar's" Kyosuke Usuta, and Masanori Morita, who illustrated "Rokudenashi Blues" and "Rookies."

Completing the illustrators who participated are Shūichi Asō, who created the "Saiki Kusuo no Psi Na," Kousuke Masuda, who illustrated "Gag Manga Biyori," "Dragon Ball Gaiden's" Gatarō Man, Kōji Ōishi, who created "Inumarudashi," and Jigoku no Misawa, who illustrated Kakko-Kawaii Sengen!!!."

Aside from illustrations from different manga creators, the magazine will also be featuring interviews from the "Midori no Makibao" anime series cast. The actress who voiced Makibao, Inuko Inuyama, together with fellow cast Shigeru Chiba and Tesshō Genda offered their congratulations to Tsunomaru in the magazine issue.
