"Night in the Woods" has been released on February 21 and is available on PS4 and PC. Here are the things that you need to know about the game including gameplay, characters, and game story among others.

"Night in the Woods" is not your typical game released by huge names in the gaming industry. In fact, it is an indie video game developed by Infinite Fall game studio. The team consists only of Hockenberry, Benson, and indie-game veteran Alec Holowka. The "Night in the Woods" started development after a fruitful Kickstarter campaign in late 2013. During that time, the team raised its target funding only about 24 hours.

"Night in the Woods" Characters and Story

"Night in the Woods" main character is a cat named Mae Borowski. Mae has just returned to her humble hometown of Possum Springs after dropping out of college for some mysterious reasons at age 19. There are other characters in the game; one is Bea, a Goth alligator who operates her father's hardware store. There is also Gregg, a hooligan fox who works at the awesomely named Snack Falcon convenience store. Moreover, you will also meet Gregg's bear boyfriend Angus, who works at a video store. Kotaku describes the characters are punks, in the way most kids are. They can be sometimes moody, aggressive, unpredictable, or amazingly grown-up.

"Night in the Woods" Gameplay

The Gameplay of "Night in the Woods" trades the puzzle-solving feature of traditional adventure games. The game relies on exploration, relationships, and story. Players will traverse Possum Springs and the nearby woods by finishing various actions. This includes talking to townsfolk, reconnecting with friends, and even shoplifting from the mall. Players can also smash fluorescent lights behind a convenience store, walk on power lines and figure out the cause of all these strange things that take place after the sun sets, says PGH.
