Marvel had begun filming one of the most important characters, at least in the comics, that will be part of "Avengers: Infinity War." Karen Gillan's Nebula had started filming her scenes and the character will likely be fighting against Thanos, as part of the "Guardians of the Galaxy's" expanded team.

According to a report from ComicBook, the original "Infinity Gauntlet" comic book showed that Nebula, being the daughter of Thanos, was a key figure in helping defeat the Eternal supervillain. This information alone will likely mean that Nebula will have a big role in the upcoming movie.

The report adds that the movie is filming in Atlanta. But that will all change as Craig Elvy of Screen Rant said that Atlanta Filming tweeted that that production team is heading to Scotland to continue the filming in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Going to Scotland would be ideal for Gillan, who is Scottish, as it means she won't have to travel that far to go to her filming location. Elvy, though, said that there were questions as to which side Nebula would be playing once the movie goes underway.

The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie started with her taking orders from her father, only to betray him and become allies with Ronan the Accuser. But Elvy said recent trailers from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" shows that Nebula is likely to side with the good guys, as she is part of the Guardians' expanded team, which includes Yondu, and Mantis.

Elvy adds that this could lead to an emotional and significant storyline for "Avengers: Infinity War." Nevertheless, having Nebula making an appearance again in the MCU will be great for the fans. In the meantime, check out the trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which would mark the blue "bad-ass" character's return to the big screen.
