Episode three of "Riverdale" titled "Body Double" showed Veronica being slut-shamed by the captain of the football team. Some viewers reacted negatively to it, and for other fans, Betty and Veronica tackling slut-shaming was both good and bad.

Viewers are introduced to Chuck Clayton during episode three. He is an all-American high school dream boat, and Alpha male, and he displays the characteristics of being a sociopath, Movie Pilot said. After his make out session with Veronica, he took to social media to post a picture of Veronica which makes her appear to be one of his numerous conquests. The photo is a photoshopped picture and maple syrup.

Betty and Veronica confronted Chuck about it, and they learned that this is not the first time that Chuck did this to girls. They also learned of a book that the football team has, which keeps score of all the boy's conquests and is called "The Playbook." Betty and Veronica got a hold of the book, and they set up an elaborate trap to catch Chuck red-handed.

What makes "Riverdale" episode three a good episode is that it deals with real teenage issues. It did deal about slut-shaming, but it also pointed out the even if girls have sex, that does not warrant the right to slut-shame them. Veronica says she's "not a slut," but it did send a message that that having sex is bad. The series tackles popular social issues, and this week, slut-shaming is the topic.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly said that the big development of "Riverdale" episode three is that Fred met with Miss Grundy. Fred asked Grundy if he should be supporting Archie's musical talent, and she kindly confirms that he's actually good. Fred apologizes to Archie, and even opens a studio to support his son's passion. "Riverdale" airs Thursdays 9PM/ET on The CW.
