The highly fictionalized series about the exploits of Mary, Queen of Scots is back! "Reign" Season 4 just premiered, and expect the final episodes to be outrageous and wonderful.

Entertainment Weekly said that Mary meets her demise at Elizabeth's hand. Mary, Elizabeth, and Catherine are all attempting to stay in power in their respective countries. In Scotland, Mary learns that life in the homeland is even more dangerous than in France, and she does not know who she can trust anymore.

In her attempt to take Elizabeth's throne, Mary knows she needs to marry again. She considers Lord Darnley - an alcoholic with a legitimate claim to the throne. James warns Mary about this, and said that a Catholic king would infuriate Protestants like John Knox, and Knox could turn the country against her. Seems like Mary is not taking this advise seriously, and it turned out that James is right.

According to Yahoo! TV, Season 4 will show Mary finding herself fighting "harder than she's ever fought to retain her authority in a man's world." Her Scottish lords are desperate to get her married as soon as possible, just so they can pawn off her authority into her husband.

On the other hand, Liz is still under the impression that Mary really did plan that attempt on her life, and she is now looking to stop her cousin's campaign for England permanently. When Liz heard rumors that Mary is looking to marry Darnley, she puts her best men to find and bring Darnley to court.

Meanwhile, the cancellation of "Reign" came as a surprise to fans, and the cast and crew as well. They only found out the show was cancelled just days before shooting on Season 4 finished. Adelaide Kane said that they only found out 10 days before they were due to wrap. Despite the short notice, Kane said that she is "grateful" for being given a heads up.
