Twitter dropped an announcement that over a few more days, people can now broadcast live over a tweet. Tweet live videos from the Twitter app, are powered by Periscope, and it doesn't matter anymore if you have downloaded the latter or not.

Sara Haider, Sr. Manager, Software Engineering of Twitter, wrote on the blog, "Live video is the most immersive way to experience what's happening around the world." She continued to say, "From protests and monumental moments to celebrations and things that make us LOL, we're making it easier for you to broadcast live video - straight from Twitter."

For an individual to go live, just compose a Tweet, then tap "LIVE" which brings you to pre-broadcast screen where you can frame your shot. When you're ready, press "Go Live" to start broadcasting.

"Once you're live, anyone on Twitter and Periscope can join your live video and participate in your experience. When you're watching a live video, comment and send hearts by tapping the screen," Haider said. There will be hearts popping out of the live feed that signifies people showing you support for the broadcast.

To use the feature, one can find live videos on their timelines, notifications and trends section and can watch replays of live videos from anyone on Twitter. Similarly, to engage in someone else's video, you can comment and give hearts on their tweet just like in Periscope.

And if are fed up with the video, you can delete it from Twitter, which would also be deleted from Periscope. However, you can't erase your Tweet live if you only deleted your Periscope live.

Haider also said, "Go live on Twitter and let others experience it with you." Twitter live video would like to make "moments and events to life in a way that no other medium can."

"We can't wait to see what you share live. #GoLive" Haider ended.
