How is George R.R. Martin these days? It seems like he has kept on breaking his promises to deliver the book to his readers. When will the next book in Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series coming out?

People have taken to the internet and asked if whether Martin has died because they have not heard any updates from the guy. Others are quick to point that as a "no," however, that thought lingers to them and has developed into a new theory among the fandoms: What is the probability that George R. R. Martin will die before "A Song of Ice and Fire" is completed?

Trust us, when a show got you addicted to it and abruptly killed you with no updates, you can go bonkers over it. When you're bonkers, you get to ask nutty questions like those two above.

Earlier this year, Martin was honest to post the updates on his blog on Livejournal. He said it clearly that, "THE WINDS OF WINTER is not finished." He continued writing, "Believe me, it gave me no pleasure to type those words." He even added that people are disappointed, and they're not alone.

"My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed... but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me," he continued. "For months now I have wanted nothing so much as to be able to say, 'I have completed and delivered THE WINDS OF WINTER' on or before the last day of 2015," Martin said.

But this was posted in January. Surely there has been some progress? Martin did get to published another book, though - an illustrated one. The Illustrated Edition of Game of Thrones went on sale October 18. He wrote, "But here I am, twenty years later... still working on book six..."

And the updates on "The Winds Of Winter"? Martin still didn't reveal if 2017 will be THE year, but said that "Some of the characters [are] in very dark places." On November 30, he attended a panel in Guadalajara for the Guadalajara International Book Fair , where he divulged that things went darker.

The last time we searched for his blog, he posted about the Jets game on December 6. "Life is meaningless and full of pain," Martin wrote.

We feel you, Martin.
