As winter arrives in some parts of the world, it seems that the highly anticipated novel, "The Winds Of Winter" from George R.R. Martin won't be released during winter after all. There are different speculations about its release date while some plot details of the novel were also teased by the book's author.

"The Winds Of Winter" is the sixth book in the series "A Song of Fire and Ice." Since it wasn't completed in 2016, there are speculations that it will be out this 2017.

There are many reasons for the novel's delay which may include the hectic schedule of the "Game of Thrones" writer. A Reddit discussion also talks about the slow writing speed of Martin that is why the book isn't out yet. But the book might be completed around the beginning of 2017.

Meanwhile, Martin also teased about the plot details of the novel. He said that there will be many interesting revelations and twists and that "The Winds Of Winter" will feature dark chapters.

"It is called 'The Winds of Winter,' and I've been telling you for 20 years that winter was coming," Martin said, according to Mashable. "Winter is the time when things die, and cold and ice and darkness fill the world, so this is not going to be the happy feel-good that people may be hoping for. Some of the characters [are] in very dark places."

Although Martin did not reveal how the story will end, he teased that there will be a bitter-sweet finale. There are also speculations that a major character will die which may break the hearts of the fans of the book series.
