It is sad to see some of the much-loved TV shows go in 2017. These popular shows will be surely missed while some will surely cause a blip in your regular tv-watching schedules. Here is a list of TV shows ending in 2016 to 2017:

"Grimm" is set to end after its sixth season. The latest season will premiere on Jan. 6, 2017 and will run on an earlier slot on Fridays at 8pm. According to Variety.com, NBC confirmed that the show will come to an end in 2017. The final season will consist 13 episodes with its final chapters finally showing a much-waited battle between Nick and Capt. Reynard. 

"Bones" is renewed for its final season in 2017, as reported by E! News. This will be the show's 12th season and it is disclosed to have 12 episodes, giving the much-loved Fox series an astounding total of 246 episodes. This farewell season will wrap things up with Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz's characters. The official end of the show will air on Feb. 25, 2017.

HBO's "Girls" is ending on 2017 with its sixth season. Lena Dunham, the show's creator and star, announced that she and the entire TV show team felt it was right to end the HBO series on its sixth season. "We wanted to make sure we kept the momentum alive and didn't allow it to soften over time," Dunham said to Hollywood Reporter. The Dunham-Judd Apatow comedy is to air in the early months of February 2017.

"The Vampire Diaries' is wrapping things up for its final season in 2017. CW announced at the San Diego Comic-con panel that it will put a "White Oak Stake" on the hit series and will end on its eight season. The farewell season is going to be a bittersweet farewell for all the show's fans out there! The eight and final season of the popular show that immortalized Elena Gilbert and the Salvatore brothers, Stefan and Damon, premiered on Oct. 21, 2016, and the finale episode will air on Jan. 20, 2017.

"Pretty Little Liars" will tackle all the plot lines in its final and seventh season in 2017. The show's fans may not be ready to say goodbye to Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse. However, the cast and creator announced via Facebook Live that they are filming the final episodes and will be aired on April 2017.
