An Irish-born waiter in Houston Texas has just received what is probably going to be the most memorable holiday gift of his life: a free trip home. The restaurant attendant was stunned upon returning to find a hefty $750 tip waiting for him at the table.

22-year-old Northern Ireland native, Ben Millar, was brought to the edge of tears upon finding the jaw-dropping tip, accompanied by a short note. The Good Samaritan, identified only as Jeffrey, indicated that the tip was left to allow Millar to return home for the holidays.

In a report by The Independent, it was stated that the 22-year-old had engaged in a brief conversation with the generous customer regarding their similar interest in the band U2. During this friendly discussion, the topic of Ireland and Millar's wish to return home had come up.

Millar continued to state that he and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Taryn Keith, were expecting a baby sometime in early January. The pair had expressed their desire to visit Millar's family in Belfast as soon as their son, Killian, is old enough to fly.

However, due to financial restraints, the pair was not expecting to make the flight in the near future. It was upon hearing of the waiter's dismay that the generous donor decided to spread some holiday cheer.

The generous $750 gift was attached to the final bill, along with a short handwritten message from the customer. The brief message reads, "Hopefully, this can get you back to Ireland for the holidays."

Upon reading the message and the accompanied gift, Millar rushed to thank the anonymous tipper, but he had already left. Upon returning home, the Irish waiter shared his joy with his girlfriend, who proceeded to thank the anonymous donor through various social media platforms.

In an interview with ABC News, Millar has expressed hopes of his story reaching Jeffrey, stating that he has strong desires to express his gratitude. Millar continued to state that the action has meant a lot to him, as well as his family in Ireland whom he has not seen in nearly two years.

In a report by Travel Pulse, it was stated that the couple are expecting their son to be born on January 20. They have expressed plans to travel to Ireland as soon as their son is travel ready.

Millar's girlfriend, Keith, stated that this gesture has been the absolute highlight to her boyfriend's year. She also continued to say that Jeremy's actions proves that kind and generous people still exists in the world.
