Betty White is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the beloved 92-year-old actress didn't die. She's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Betty White is just fine.

Rumors started swirling lately that the actress was found dead in a bath tub. A report by eBuzzd reads, " The world is saddened today as we slowly learn more about the death of Hollywood legend Betty White. Authorities were called to the exclusive celebrity resort La Palomas at around 2 p.m. Monday after Whites' body was found by resort staff, a law enforcement source told the eBuzzd. The source added that investigators do not suspect drugs or other foul-play to be a cause of her death at this time, but that testing and an autopsy is needed to determine a definitive cause of death.

The 92-year-old Hollywood icon, wearing a white nightgown, was found submerged in the oval tub, face-up after hotel staff was called to check on a leak coming from the ceiling below her room. A bottle of unopened prescription pills was found in the room, among other prescribed medicine. "The medicine recovered is typical of just about anyone which included cholesterol and high-blood pressure medicines." Said Det. John Wiseman "None of which seemed to have lead to her passing at this time."

"White lived in an apartment in Hollywood's East Village, but had a membership to the exclusive club frequented by celebrities. The hotel has hosted stars like Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts. A source close to the White family said there had been a small bedroom fire sparked by a candle at her home earlier in the week, and that may have led her to stay at the luxurious Hollywood resort while remodeling is underway to repair the minor damaged sustained."

Since there are many details to the story, it may be easy to believe, but the report is false. If Betty White had actually died, it would be all over major news and entertainment sources. White may be 92, but she isn't dead. She is currently starring in the show "Hot in Cleveland."

Despite the rumors being false, it made fans very upset and many took to Twitter to question and mourn the loss of the beloved actress. Some examples of tweets include:

"Betty White died, I didn't think she was ever gonna die at the rate she was going"

"I'm hearing reports that Betty White died? Please let this be a ridiculous lie."

"RIP Betty White... so sad :( you'll be deeply missed..."

The same exact hoax was going around in February and March of this year. Betty White is still alive and kicking.
