Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set inside of earthworks. Archaeologists believe it was developed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The surrounding round earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest period of the landmark, have been dated to around 3100 BC. Then again, there are still structures which are more established than Stonehenge that will describe the ancient human advancements.
