A new trailer has been released for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Aside from the new trailer for the latest installment in the Resident Evil franchise, a demo for the Sony PlayStation 4, which includes its final update, is now available. The updated demo now includes virtual reality support.

PC gamers will have the opportunity to try Resident Evil 7 before its release next month. The demo of the game from the survival horror genre franchise will soon be arriving on the PC. Players on the Xbox One will also be able to try out the game as well. Capcom announced that a demo for both the PC and the Xbox One will soon be available. The demo for Resident Evil 7 will be out on both the PC and the Xbox later this month.

The demo, The Beginning Hour, was revealed at E3 2016. It has only been available so far on the Sony PlayStation 4 since that event. A new trailer was also unveiled during the PlayStation Experience keynote. According to gaming website PC Gamer, the trailer for Resident Evil 7 sheds light on more of the hidden mysteries within the game. Forbes magazine reported that it shows more of the perils that Ethan Winters will experience when searching for his wife.

Along with the new trailer, Capcom revealed the final update, "Midnight", for the Resident Evil 7 demo. The company confirmed that the update is available now for the PS4, PS4 Pro and PSVR. The "Midnight" update will peel back layers of mystery hidden in the game. Players will be able to explore what lies beyond the mold-covered door, where terrifying growling noises emanate from.

The update gives the demo support for the optional virtual reality mode. Asdide from supporting the PSVR mode, the updated demo now supports 4K output on the PS4 Pro and HDR for all PS4 systems connected to supported TVs. The Beginning Hour demo for the PC will be released on December 19. The PC version of the demo will have a multitude of PC-specific settings and graphics options.

The Resident Evil 7 demo will launch for the Xbox One on December 9. According to gaming website IGN, both upcoming versions of The Beginning Hour demo will include the final "Midnight" update that was launched on the PS4.
