Fallout 4 VR is coming our way and it appears that it is already in development. Executive producer Todd Howard said that Bethesda wants to reimagine Fallout 4 in VR. Bethesda isn't concerned about the market for virtual reality, saying it will sort itself out.

Bethesda Softworks director and executive producer Todd Howard confirmed that they are still working on a virtual reality version of Fallout 4. According to gaming website Shacknews, Bethesda's development team wants Fallout 4 to be fully playable in virtual reality, Howard acknowledged in a recent interview with gaming website Glixel.

Howard said in the interview that Bethesda is trying the VR concept now. They will then see where it heads. Gaming website VG247 reported that at E3 2016, Bethesda revealed their intention to produce a VR version of Fallout 4. An early Fallout 4 VR demo show put together by Bethesda was interesting but seemed limited to those who had experienced it.

The editor of Glixel asked Howard if Bethesda was trying to put all Fallout 4 in VR. He replied that they definitely are. Since the promise of VR is being in a big virtual world, Howard believes that open-world games such as Fallout 4 are well positioned to take advantage of VR. According to gaming website PC Gamer, the development team were able to experience standing in the world of Fallout and they could go anywhere they want using a VR headset while playing the game.

The team felt that the core experience of the VR demo of Fallout 4, even a small sample of it, was every every bit as cool as they hoped it would be. Once they experienced it, they had to see where it goes. Howard said that Bethesda wasn't concerned about questions regarding the size of the demand for VR. He believes those doubts will be cleared eventually. He mentioned that Bethesda wants to something big and unique rather than some tiny experience. Howard said that he doesn't think that is what people expect from the company.
