Lawmakers are considering execution by firing squad in USA after named to be the most humane way of taking lives.

As each state attempts to strengthen its justice system, many ways are considered to be able to carry out proper judgment. Consequences vary in accordance to the degree of a crime committed. The heaviest punishment for an extreme crime may be the death penalty which comes in the usual form of a lethal injection, but lawmakers this time are trying to consider execution by firing squad to be implemented in selective parts of USA.

A Utah lawmaker recently believed that such manner of issuing a death penalty is more humane than the usual lethal injection. With the idea in mind, Rep. Paul Ray, a Republican from the city of Clearfield plans to bring back the said option for criminals in his state. Furthermore, he also plans to introduce the execution by firing squad manner in the said state of USA.

The planned method is no longer new to Utah since the state already had a history of using it. In 2010, Ronnie Lee Gardner was shot by five police officials using the .30-caliber Winchester rifles. However, the USA state has eliminated execution by firing squad in 2004 due to the excessive media attention yet inmates still have the option of choosing it. That is why Gardner ended up in front of the five policemen.

According to Ray, the said that the controversial method may seem more favored now, especially states have struggled in terms of the drug shortages which complicated lethal injections. He also stressed that the method is the cheapest and most humane way since there will be no more suffering and that the person dies instantly. Moreover, it's not just Utah alone that considers the idea of execution by firing squad since other USA states such as Wyoming and Missouri also considered the method.
