Even Woody from Toy Story isn't allowed to fly with his weapon. Security staff at Heathrow airport recently confiscated the gun from the cowboy doll. The toy, which was holding a miniature six-shooter was apparently thought to be a terror risk.

A traveler took to social media to share her story of how the Heathrow security staff examined the toy and then took his tiny gun away, the Daily Mail reports.
The traveler even posted a photo of Woody being impounded by security to prove it. She captioned the photo saying "I have travelled the world with Toy Story's Woody, taking pics for my son. At Heathrow, security just confiscated his "weapon", keep the world safe boys."

The photo made its way onto Reddit, where it received hundreds of comments. Many called the security services overzealous and some made jokes about the matter.

"I'm just imagining what it would be like if he tried to hijack an airplane with that small gun. People squinting looking at his hand," a user named Groonz wrote.

A user named duseinsha found the act to be ridiculous. "Pathetic. What happened to common sense?" they wrote.

The Reddit user Spiritol Janugar referred to the Toy Story's catch phrase when his string is pulled and commented "Did they find the snake in his boot?"

Even though it is part of his character, the dolls are normally not sold with a gun. It is not clear where the gun for the toy came from.

When asked about the incident, Heathrow airport refused to comment but said that the security rules are determined by the Department For Transport, according to the Daily Mail. When the Department for Transport was contacted, they simply said. "We do not comment on specific incidents or details of our security regime. Airports and airlines can use their discretion to remove any item being carried in hand luggage when they believe it may be perceived as a threat."
