Getting stuck in a traffic jam sucks. Getting stuck in a Jimmy Fallon traffic jam parody is even worse. Fallon and Bruce Springsteen mocked New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in fine style Tuesday night on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

The Bridgegate parody was set to Springsteen's "Born to Run" and featured memorable zingers like, "You're killing the working man," and "They shut down the tollbooths of glory 'cause we didn't endorse Christie." Fallon started off the song with an incredibly believable impersonation of Springsteen, before The Boss took over.

The two even made fun of Christie's press conference apology. "The highways jammed with [ticked] off drivers with no place left to go, and the press conference," Fallon began. "It was longer than one of my own damn shows," Springsteen added incredulously.

As if it weren't bad enough that Christie's presidential hopes have been smeared in mud ever since the scandal broke, now one of his idols--Springsteen-is making fun of him on national TV. Christie is a self-professed fanboy of The Boss and has reportedly gone to 100 of his concerts.

Springsteen did cut Christie a bit of slack, singing "Governor let me in / I want to be your friend / There'll be no partisan divisions / Let me wrap my legs 'round your mighty rims / And relieve your stressful condition." Nonetheless, it seems that no one is letting Christie off easy on this one.

The Bridgegate scandal refers to a huge traffic jam that took place in September when the George Washington Bridge between New Jersey and Manhattan was shut down. A top-level aid in the Christie administration allegedly ordered the bridge's closure as a political move against the mayor of Fort Lee, New Jersey after he refused to endorse Christie's re-election campaign.

The aid responsible for the act has already been fired, but Christie continues to face scrutiny. Many believe that he not only knew of the revenge plot, but played a pivotal role in it.
