Lil Wayne is dead. At least that's what social media sites are saying. However the rapper didn't die. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Weezy is just fine.

According to Hollywood Life, a video has appeared on social media sites which says Lil Wayne was found dead. The video appeared on December 16. Not only is the video "R.I.P. Lil Wayne" false, it may also be a scam. Users are required to share the video to Facebook before they can watch it, which is a common scam that can lead to viruses on your computer. A link to the video can be found here, but don't share it.

The 31-year-old rapper may have had some health scares as he suffers from epileptic seizures, but he isn't dead. Lil Wayne opened up about his seizures in March, saying "The bad news is I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures," Lil Wayne told Los Angeles hip-hop radio station Power 106 after a seizure put him in the hospital. "Like, this isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them. ... Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious. But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself."

The recent video supposedly ties in to Lil Wayne's seizure problem and says he died after an episode.

Lil Wayne isn't dead. He's busy making music. Chris Brown's "Loyal" collaboration with Lil Wayne and French Montana recently dropped.

Despite the reports of Lil Wayne's death being a rumor, fans have taken to Twitter to question and mourn the death of the rapper. Some examples of Tweets include:
"just found out lil wayne died while I was sitting in class and I BALLED in front of everyone"
"Did i just hear lil wayne died today? OMG WHAT?"
"Is lil wayne really dead ???"
"Damn!!! Rip lil wayne"
