Actor Eddie Kaye Thomas, better known for his American Pie portrayal of Paul Finch, saw his Wednesday night end in a 911 call after a take-home date turned a knife on him.

The L.A. Times reported that the woman spent Tuesday night in the home of the 32-year-old actor, and reacted violently when asked to leave the house the next morning.

According to Gossip Cop, Thomas suffered a terrifying encounter after taking home a woman he met at Mel's Diner in L.A.who turned out to be a diabolical lover who tried to stab him.

Minutes after receiving the call, the SWAT team and Los Angeles Police Department arrived on the scene where they found the unidentified women barricaded inside the house.

Preferring not to further entice the women, law enforcement officials decided to stay put and wait out the women, but they eventually came to the conclusion to throw flash bang grenades as well as tear gas canisters into the house.

After a few hours the police then entered the home and took a hold of the woman.

Actress Minnie Driver, who lives in the same neighborhood as Thomas, took to Twitter to comment on the incident:

"It's not an armed man, it's a disgruntled woman. Disgruntled is probably the wrong word..just five rounds of...explosions. We are all sitting on the floor in the living room. Henry has a baseball glove and I'm eying the wine. Feel sad for this barricaded woman."

During the altercation, TMZ reported that the women damaged a few of Thomas's belongings, including smashing up a phone, a guitar and generally trashed the house.

The women was taken into custody, checked out at a hospital, and then booked for felony vandalism.

Besides the American Pie movies, Thomas has also appeared on the Harold & Kumar series and Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden.
