It's time to start meticulously planning your Thanksgiving Day. A Thanksgiving disintegrates into either a game or movie. Maybe you can skip the amount of time you zone out with a glass of cheap red wine in front of a college basketball game this time around after your heavy meal. Everyone's full of turkey and butterand just want to cozy up in the couch in front of the TV.

These movies aren't technically Thanksgiving-themed, but they connote certain themes and emotions that embody the day of giving. They will help you bond in your mass family reunion: movies from '90s cult classics to your favorite feel-good comedies.

Although not about Thanksgiving, but the setting is fall and there is a Thanksgiving scene. The 1998 romantic comedy stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan and is written and directed by Nora and Delia Ephron. Two Upper West Side New Yorkers fall meet in an online chat room. They are real-life competitors because Joe Fox played by Tom Hanks owns a chain of bookstores while she owns her own individual bookstore which is on the verge of a close down. They fall in love without knowing each other's real identities.

The Thanksgiving scene is the classic scene between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in which Joe Fox comes to the rescue in a Zabar's cash-only line.

The yearly tradition is to air a new chapter in the Anne of Green Gables story on Thanksgiving. The most recent one last year was Anne of Green Gables: Fire and Dew. Anne arrives in Charlottetown to attend accelerated classes to become a school teacher. Her competitive nature pays off. She find herself in a series of challenges, overwhelmed by her new surroundings, difficult classes at teacher's college and strings of romance outside of her beloved Green Gables.

Meanwhile, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert deal with poor health and a failing eyesight which made life more difficult in the farm.

Faith, family, football are themes that embody Thanksgiving. The Blind Side tells of the real-life story of stalwart matriarch Leigh Anne Tuohy (played by Sandra Bullock) as she assumes guardianship of Michael Oher, who goes from homeless teenager to first-round draft pick.

It includes a Thanksgiving scene. When Leigh Anne Tuohy and her husband Sean (Tim McGraw) offer him a place to stay for the night, the one-evening invitation turns into something more long-term. He practically becomes part of the family when he joins them to a Thanksgiving dinner.

Wednesday (played by Christina Ricci) tells everyone the real story behind Thanksgiving while at summer camp. Basically, a con artist and her son try to steal the Addams fortune.

Addams Family values is based on the characters from the 1964 TV series produced by David Levy and the cartoon created by Charles Addams.
